INGREDIENTS:

  • Daawat Ultima Basmati Rice
  • Veggies: carrots, beans, peas
  • Whole spices: bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves
  • Cashews & raisins
  • Salt, sugar, pepper
  • Oil (or ghee for richer flavor)

Cook:

  1. Cook long-grain rice until about 90% done and spread it to cool — prevents breaking grains.
  2. Heat ghee/oil and toast whole spices for aroma.
  3. Add cashews, raisins, then quick-stir fry vegetables.
  4. Gently mix rice with veggies and seasoning; keep flame medium-high so rice stays fluffy.
  5. Cover and steam on low for a few minutes to meld flavors.
