INGREDIENTS:
- Daawat Ultima Basmati Rice
- Veggies: carrots, beans, peas
- Whole spices: bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves
- Cashews & raisins
- Salt, sugar, pepper
- Oil (or ghee for richer flavor)
Cook:
- Cook long-grain rice until about 90% done and spread it to cool — prevents breaking grains.
- Heat ghee/oil and toast whole spices for aroma.
- Add cashews, raisins, then quick-stir fry vegetables.
- Gently mix rice with veggies and seasoning; keep flame medium-high so rice stays fluffy.
- Cover and steam on low for a few minutes to meld flavors.
