INGREDIENTS:

  • Daawat Ultima Biryani Rice – 2 cups (soaked 30 mins)
  • Prawns – 300–400 g (cleaned & deveined)
  • Onions – thinly sliced
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Tomato – finely chopped (optional)
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Fresh mint & coriander
  • Whole spices (bay leaf, cloves, cardamom)
  • Ghee or oil
  • Salt – to taste

Cook:

  1. Parboil Rice: Cook soaked Daawat Ultima Biryani Rice with whole spices until 70% done. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Cook Prawns Masala: Heat oil & ghee, fry onions till golden. Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes and spices.
  3. Add Prawns: Toss prawns with curd and biryani masala. Cook for 3–4 minutes (don’t overcook).
  4. Layering: In a heavy pot, layer prawn’s masala and rice. Top with mint or coriander.
  5. Dum Cook: Cover tightly and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve Hot: Gently fluff and serve with raita or salan.
